How would you deliver and model digital citizenship information to various audiences, such as students, teachers, administrators and parents? My plan for the 2019-2020 school year is to embed digital citizenship lessons throughout my classroom lessons. This could be through a OneDrive/Email lesson or a stand-alone Common Sense/Nearpod lesson. Most of my lessons are administered through literacy classes mostly because they are set up 1:1 and that also gives us the opportunity to incorporate relevant/real-world pieces of text and trade articles that stress the importance of digital citizenship. Topics to be included, but are not limited to, composing a professional email, cyber-bullying, strategic searching, plagiarism, social media, and more! Teachers/Admin are present for lessons during the school day and relevant resources are available for parents on our school site as well as personally speaking with parents at Open House, Parent/Teacher Conferences, email and phone conversations.
